Family Megillah Reading, February 27

The spirited reading of the Story of Esther will be followed by hamantashen, pizza, beer and treats for the children. Please join the festivities beginning at 6 PM.

Here’s the Deal . . .

We survived Texas Hold ’em! We also survived Craps, Roulette and Black Jack, new to the poker hall this year.

 

What a team we had . . . we were well SUITED! We’d like to name Leonard KING of the ROYAL FLUSH for working more late shifts than anyone, often until 2:30 AM! QUEEN Ada drove all the way from Richland to help, and Candy and Herb drove from Metamora. Shai and Christine signed up to help from furthest away – e-mailing from Israel! Mike spent his birthday working at the poker hall. Our JACK OF HEARTS Arnold saved the day by driving through a snow storm, nearly hitting a deer, to get us more cash. Berna kept us going by providing gourmet picnics, and kept us laughing with a wardrobe malfunction. Guess that makes her the JOKER! The list goes on, but what we really want you to know is that a lot of people came together to to make this a FULL HOUSE and a successful fundraiser. You went ALL IN and are appreciated more than you know!

 

THE BET PAID OFF! After working for twelve days at Lucky’s Poker Room in November, we came away with $5,358. Then in December we worked for eleven days at Fisher Hall, making an additional $12,007. So, we’re happy to report that we made a grand total of $17,365!
